Summary: Past and present critical parody receptions of “Bez puttja” of Ivan Nechuy-Levytsky are analyzed in the article. A new interpretation of the value based and semantic parameters of the work based on the analysis of the parameters of the visual thinking of the writer, the concepts of his scientific-critical works “Siohochasne literaturne priamuvannia” and “Ukrainska dekadenshchyna” is proposed.
It has been observed that Ivan Nechuy-Levytsky also proved the relevance of the parody genre in Ukrainian literature as it is one of those artistic forms that is constantly evolving and changing while forming new varieties and interpretations of traditional parody approaches. It has been argued that such dynamics are a natural manifestation of the genre’s viability and openness and, therefore, its natural existence in different cultural and historical eras.
