Summary

The article deals with the peculiarities of the expression of the author’s position in the works of Ukrainian and French authors of the middle of the 20th century.
The artistic techniques and means of actualizing the author’s consciousness in the works of V. Zemliak and Zh. Ziono are analyzed, the author’s points of view expressed in their works are distinguished, the artistic techniques and means of embodying the author’s position specific to them are considered.
