The author chose to identify psycholinguistic markers of key images of women in the “Dream” by L. Starytska-Chernyakhivska as the purpose of the research. The author refers to three groups of methods: general scientific (dialectical), empirical (observation and description) and theoretical research methods (method of analysis, induction, deduction, classification method, statistical method).
Research methodology: reading the text of the “Dream” by L. Starytska-Chernyakhivska; identification of psycholinguistic markers of two key images of women described by L. Starytska-Chernyakhivska in the mentioned work; compilation of tables with the inclusion of all cases of labelling of key images of women in work “Dream” by L. Starytska-Chernyakhivska; application of quantitative and qualitative analysis of the frequency of use of psycholinguistic markers of two key images of women described by L. Starytska-Chernyakhivska in the mentioned work; construction of charts reflecting table indicators; classification of groups of psycholinguistic markers of two key images of women described by L. Starytska-Chernyakhivska in the mentioned work; formulation of research conclusions. Based on the results of the study, 46 cases of the author’s use of psycholinguistic markers to create the image of a “sick” woman were identified. The mentioned cases were classified into 17 groups with six marker frequency groups.
In the conclusions, the author of the study states that the key images of women in the analyzed work “Dream” are two: the image of a “sick woman” and the image of “a transparent figure of a woman, covered with a long white veil” (Starytska-Chernyakhivska, 2023). Each of the two images of women has a specific list of psycholinguistic markers.
