Summary

The article analyzes the forms of search for their identities by the women in the novel by R.P. de Ayala “Tigre-Juan. The Healer of his Honour”. The socio-historical context of the epoch and its infl uence on the author’s view of the problem actualized in the work are investigated. The way to selfidentifi cation of the main female characters is researched.
