History and modernity of Olga Strashenko's dramaturgy: reminiscences, images, characterization

The article examines a little-researched and little-known aspect of the activity of the contemporary Ukrainian writer Olga Strashenko (1950-2015) - her dramaturgical heritage, presented in three editions - "Dramatic Poems about Kyivan Rus" (2007), "Seven Selected Plays" (2004) and "Theatrical Playbill. 30 New Plays" (2014). The historical and cultural context of the appearance of dramatic poems and comedies (mainly) by the author is characterized, the creative preferences of the writer are explained, parallels with the historical past of the theater and its role in various historical circumstances are given. The plays are briefly grouped by theme and genre varieties, the features of the appearance of individual works are characterized. A detailed purely literary and linguistic analysis of the plays is a task for the future, this is the perspective of the article.
