Features of the imaginary system of comedy Lyubovy Yanovskaya "On Mylanky"

Abstract

The purpose of the article was to find out the features of Lyubov Yanovska's imaginative comedy "On Milanka".

In modelling the image of Marusa, Lyubov Yanovska used the maximum number of tools (83 %), paying attention to the presentation of the girl's emotional state. Fewer characterization tools (67 %) were used to create the image of the Cossack Maxim in general and to show his emotional states in particular. The smallest amount (33 %) of means of characterization was used to model the image of Ivan, which is caused, in our opinion, by the subsidiarity of his image.

The conclusions indicate that in Lyubov Yanovska's comedy "On Milanka" the figurative system is determined by the leitmotif of historical memory, the preservation of Ukrainian traditions. The largest number of characterization tools were used to model the image of Marusa, in particular her internal state, which is due to the writer's deep awareness of the specifics of the female world, as well as the challenges (threat to women's happiness, gradual disappearance of the historical memory of the glorious past of the Ukrainian people) that arise before the representative of the younger generation – the continuation of the father's work in preserving folk traditions.
